Handpainted Floral Jumbo Waxed Amaryllis Bulb
A true meeting of artistry and nature, these hand-painted waxed amaryllis bulbs bring a painter’s touch to the world of indoor blooms. Each jumbo bulb is finished in rich indigo blue and adorned with crisp white florals, painted by hand in Peru.
Three skilled artists contribute to the creation of each bulb, lending their own techniques and expressions to a different part of the design. The result is a one-of-a-kind work of art, numbered individually and painted with extraordinary care.
These massive 36/38 'Red Sovereign' amaryllis bulbs produce 3–4 flowering stalks, each crowned with up to four brilliant red blossoms. The show lasts for weeks - longer than any bouquet, and infinitely more distinctive.
Remarkably, these bulbs need NO water, NO soil, and NO special care to grow and bloom! Set it in a spot with bright indirect light (it’s got an embedded metal stand), and watch it sprout and bloom in about 4-6 weeks. That’s it! How does it work? The bulb itself already contains all the energy and moisture needed to bloom, and only certain varieties that have proven well-suited for this treatment are used.
We recommend disposing of waxed amaryllis bulbs after blooming. Removing the wax and potting the bulb in soil may be attempted, but soil-less blooming is a stress to the bulb, and reblooming is not guaranteed.

Shipping Schedule
Our products may become available for preorder before they are available to ship. Please note the expected ship dates given within each product’s description. General dates as follows:
- Amaryllis begin shipping in mid-October and continue through February (or until inventory runs out)
- Potted bulb gardens begin shipping in January and continue through early May (or until inventory runs out)
- Monthly Bulb Garden Programs begin shipping in January unless otherwise noted. The first garden will ship immediately once it becomes available, and then subsequent gardens will ship one calendar month apart for the duration of the program.
Your order may be split into multiple shipments as items become available.
